Job summary

Major Recruitment Norwich is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Panel Wirer for its client in Mildenhall, Suffolk. The role involves wiring metering equipment, relays and PLCs, building low voltage switchgear, and interpreting electrical drawings to exacting standards.

You will join a dedicated production team in a permanent, full-time position with competitive pay, overtime at time+half, and a pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in panel wiring or electrical assembly.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience wiring control systems and electrical components.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must live within commuting distance of Mildenhall and travel to site.

Our electrical manufacturing client based in Mildenhall is seeking a skilled and detail focused professional to join their Production Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work on the assembly and wiring of low voltage electronic switchgear and control panels, supporting projects that demand precision, quality and technical expertise.

What You'll Be Doing

• Wiring electrical components including metering equipment, control relays and PLCs.
• Building and assembling low voltage switchgear and control gear.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, layout drawings and manufacturing packs.
• Ensuring products are built accurately and meet engineering specifications.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of quality and workmanship.
• Collaborating closely with engineers and production colleagues.

What They’re Looking For

• Previous experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly or a similar electrical manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience wiring control systems and electrical components would be highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Mildenhall area and be able to travel to site reliably.
