Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Technician in Cambridge to build, test and install systems for aircraft interiors. You will read drawings, work to tight tolerances and maintain quality in a regulated aerospace setting.

The role offers long-term contract work with overtime at enhanced rates and a structured, safety-focused environment. You will contribute to continuous improvement and meet production targets while adhering to stringent quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years electrical experience within aerospace, marine or a similar regulated industry.
• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised Electrical qualification.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Confident soldering and use of hand and power tools.
• Confident use of IT systems, including MRP or production tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing electrical harnesses, components and control modules.
• Testing and inspecting electrical assemblies to ensure they are right first time.
• Installing electrical components into aircraft interior units.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Meeting production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Keeping a safe, organised work area and suggesting improvements to production flow.

Electrical Technician Cambridge £19ph (depending on experience)

Long-term work, overtime at enhanced rates and electrical assemblies where precision genuinely matters. As an Electrical Technician, you ll build, test and install systems for aircraft interiors, working to drawings and standards that leave no room for guesswork.
