Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a Cambridge-based role in a growing bespoke engineering and automation company that specialises in special purpose machinery. You will work on electrical build, wiring, testing and installation of control panels for bespoke machinery.

The role involves PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron), switchgear, servo drives, motors and sensors, with occasional travel to sites for installation and modification.

Qualifications

• Must be an electrically biased engineer.
• Ideally completed a recognised UK apprenticeship.
• Level 3 NVQ in electrical installation or electrical maintenance.
• Experience working on PLCs.
• Worked on switchgear, servo drives, motors and sensors.
• Electrical build, wiring, testing and installation - control panels.
• Approachable, personable, positive team player.

Responsibilities

• Working on bespoke industrial machinery.
• Dealt with switchgear, servo drives, motors and sensors.
• Electrical building, testing and installation of special purpose machinery.
