Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking an Electrical Technician in Cambridge. The role involves building, testing and installing systems for aircraft interiors, following precise drawings and standards.

Overtime is paid after 37 hours, with enhanced rates, and the position offers long-term contract work with potential to go permanent. You will work in a clean, regulated aerospace environment, with defined processes, quality standards and a safety induction on day one.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised electrical qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with soldering and use of hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with MRP/production tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture electrical harnesses, components and control modules.
• Test and inspect electrical assemblies to ensure conformance.
• Install electrical components into aircraft interior units.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Keep a safe, organized work area and suggest improvements.

Electrical Technician | Cambridge | £19ph (depending on experience)

Long-term work, overtime at enhanced rates and electrical assemblies where precision genuinely matters. As an Electrical Technician, you’ll build, test and install systems for aircraft interiors, working to drawings and standards that leave no room for guesswork. As an Electrical Technician, you will benefit from:

As an Electrical Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Manufacturing electrical harnesses, components and control modules
• Testing and inspecting electrical assemblies to ensure they are right first time
• Installing electrical components into aircraft interior units
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
• Meeting production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards
• Keeping a safe, organised work area and suggesting improvements to production flow

As an Electrical Technician, your experience will include:

• 3 to 5 years’ electrical experience within aerospace, marine or a similar regulated industry
• A time-served apprenticeship or recognised Electrical qualification
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Confident soldering and use of hand and power tools
• Confident use of IT systems, including MRP or production tracking systems
