We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in the Camberley pumping team.
This is a mobile role where the successful candidate will travel across multiple pumping station sites in the Home Counties South area.
As the successful candidate, you will be using your electrical knowledge as well as your experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe efficient timely and effective manner with minimum supervision allowing us to ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.

Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and visitors by always displaying the correct behaviours, complying with the Health and Safety at work regulations and Thames Water’s Health and Safety guidelines. Working across multiple sites, you will liaise with the Technical Support Manager to respond to alarms, fault find to identify issues, fix these or elevate, and carry out reactive maintenance of plant equipment. Record work and asset information to improve business performance along with identifying possible future risks and recommending changes in the course of your day-to-day work and to raise these for resolution as required. Provide specialist technical advice where appropriate with up-to-date technical knowledge along with coaching, training and developing staff under your supervision, including the apprenticeship programme. Delivering excellent customer experience and positively contribute to overall customer satisfaction. Interacting with all of our customers (internal & external) in a timely, professional, efficient, respectful and polite manner.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to travel across multiple pumping stations in the Home Counties South area. Contractually you would be based at Camberley STW (GU15 3YL) or Esher STW (KT10 8AU).
38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36pm, plus overtime opportunities upon completion of essential company training. All PPE, tools, a company van and a fuel card are provided.
