Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Pumps Stations Technical Support team in the Thames Valley region. This mobile role covers Reading, Oxford, Swindon, and Aylesbury, with base location in Newbury and travel between sites.
You will perform maintenance, respond to alarms, document work, and provide technical guidance. A time-served apprenticeship and 18th Edition are preferred; 3-phase systems experience and a clean driver’s licence are essential.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Pumping Stations Technical Support team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Pumping Team in the Thames Valley region. This role will primarily be situated within the Reading, Oxford, Swindon and Aylesbury areas, but you may be required to cover other areas within the Thames Valley catchment. Your daily tasks will be essential for ensuring that our Sewage Pumping Stations are operating as desired, and that information is fed back to the internal system so that sites can be monitored remotely. Accordingly, you will be stepping into a role of great responsibility, and you will be expected to embrace this. Your working environment will be fast-paced and varied, with plenty of opportunities for training and development in areas that you find interesting.
This is a mobile role. You will be required to travel across multiple sites in the Thames Valley area. You will be contractually based at Newbury STW, Lower Way, Thatcham, RG19 3TS.
38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am -3:36 pm plus Standby rota payments & Overtime opportunities can increase the earning potential by up to a further £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
