Job summary

Actio Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Technician in Ashby-de-la-Zouch to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. The role focuses on precise wiring, soldering, and box build assembly for complex electrical systems to demanding quality standards.

You will work from engineering drawings and wiring schematics, reading diagrams, and wiring cables with attention to detail in a high-specification manufacturing setting. This is a permanent, on-site position with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical Wirer or Wiring Technician.
• Strong background in fine wiring and soldering.
• Experience with box build assembly.
• Experience in high-specification manufacturing environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fine soldering and intricate wiring of electrical assemblies.

Actio Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our electronics manufacturing client.

We are currently seeking experienced Electrical Wirers / Wirepersons to join a growing team in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals with experience in fine wiring, soldering, box build assembly, and aerospace-standard electrical / electronic work.

The Role

Working as part of a highly skilled production team, you will be responsible for the assembly, wiring of complex electrical and electronic systems to exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fine soldering and intricate wiring of electrical assemblies
• Point-to-point wiring and cable assembly
• Box build assembly and integration
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Looming, crimping, terminating, and routing cables
• Working to high-quality standards within regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, or similar sectors
• Inspecting and testing completed assemblies
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with customer specifications

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Wirer, Wireperson, or Wiring Technician
• Strong background in fine wiring and soldering
• Experience with box build assembly
• Aerospace, defence, motorsport, medical, or other high-specification manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and wiring schematics
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
