Job summary

National Nuclear Laboratory Limited seeks an Electrical Technical Support professional to provide engineering support to the Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team, ensuring reliability and safety across plant and systems. The role involves contributing to maintenance planning, safety compliance, and collaboration with Design and Capability teams.

The position supports a pilot 4-day work pattern to promote work-life balance while maintaining service standards, with salary in the £51k–£53k

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical or HND in an equivalent discipline.
• Strong communications skills and ability to communicate key information with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Conservative decision making in pressure situations.
• Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements.
• Self-motivation with energy and resilience.
• Ability to interface with Design and Capability teams.
• Willingness to become Safety Supervisor and PMP Manager.
• Willingness to become Sub Contractor Supervisor.
• Ability to obtain DV level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop pragmatic fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet organisational objectives cost effectively.
• Support maintenance activities by implementing and maintaining the technical basis of maintenance (TBoM) and assist planning for complex maintenance.
• Be accountable to the Maintenance Delivery Manager for safe, on-schedule maintenance tasks.
• Comply with safety, quality, risk, and security standards and procedures.
• Ensure work delivery adheres to site requirements and safety envelope.
• Assist in producing PMP’s and present at committee meetings.
• Support Electrical Team Leader in installation, modifications and commissioning of equipment and process improvements.
• Produce Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for maintenance or breakdown tasks.
• Attend forums to learn and implement best practices across facilities.
