Job summary

Coleman James in London is seeking an Electrical Technical Engineer to join our client’s team. The role focuses on delivery and technical authorisation of electrical design information across preconstruction to completion, with emphasis on preconstruction.

You will support the Electrical Technical Manager, mentor junior engineers, and monitor design progress across healthcare, residential regeneration, schools and data centres.

Qualifications

• Experience within a design consultancy / D&B contractor.
• Ability to deliver and authorise electrical design information for projects.
• Preconstruction delivery experience (RIBA Plan of Work Stages 3–6) is desirable.

Job description

Our client is world leading construction and engineering company who are looking for an Electrical Technical Engineer to join their team in London. Projects are based in London and the Southeast and cover various sectors including Healthcare, Residential Regeneration, Schools and Data Centres with values ranging from £5m - £130m.

You will assist the Electrical Technical Manager in the delivery and technical authorisation of Electrical design information; from prequalification to completion with an emphasis on preconstruction (RIBA Plan of Work Stages 3 to 6 / BSRIA BG6 Stages 3 to 6). You will build and lead effective relationships with MEP Consultants, Digital Engineering Coordinators and Specialist CDP Designers to maximise value/opportunity and mitigate risk.
