Job summary

Bimplus in London Bridge is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead building services electrical design from concept to construction on landmark projects across London and the UK. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with MEP disciplines, attend client meetings, and ensure compliance with British Standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience within an MEP contractor or Building Services consultancy.
• Strong experience designing electrical building services for commercial and/or mission-critical projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience using electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, Relux or Trimble ProDesign.
• Excellent understanding of current regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers would be advantageous.
• Progress towards or attainment of IEng or CEng status is desirable but not essential.

Our client is a leading Building Services MEP contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering technically complex projects across the commercial, mission-critical and high-end residential sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their London Bridge office. The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and coordination of electrical building services packages from concept through to construction. You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and work closely with project managers, commercial teams and site delivery staff to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for a technically strong engineer who can confidently manage projects and build relationships with clients and project teams.

You’ll ideally have:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience within an MEP contractor or Building Services consultancy.
• Strong experience designing electrical building services for commercial and/or mission-critical projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience using electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, Relux or Trimble ProDesign.
• Excellent understanding of current regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers would be advantageous.
