Job Description:

Based in Alzenau / Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities and primarily for its World Rally Championship program.

We are currently looking for an Electrical System Design Engineer to join our team.

• Demonstrable experience of electrical system design - specifically circuit design, wiring/fusing, and electrical packaging.
• Proficient in creating schematics and 2D harness drawings following industry recognized EDS standards.
• Design, develop, and produce release solutions for electrical packages and wiring systems for our vehicles.
• Familiar with Catia V5 design tools, including the electrical harness workbench and creating detailed harness routes, from conceptual phase to feasible design solutions.
• Able to present design information to support external and internal project status reviews.
• Practical experience in vehicle fault analysis and electrical harness modification.
• Experience with program launch engineering and manufacturing support, including guidance for installation and rework by Manufacturing and Service departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, ideally in electrical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience within the motorsport industry.
• Well-organized approach, with flexibility to modify operations based on last-minute issues.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Systems & Motorsport Looms.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Outlook) and Catia V5.
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
