Job Description:

Based in Alzenau / Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities and primarily for its World Rally Championship program.

We are currently looking for an Electrical System Design Engineer to join our team.

• Demonstrable experience of electrical system design - specifically circuit design, wiring/fusing, and electrical packaging.
• Proficient in creating schematics and 2D harness drawings following industry recognized EDS standards.
• Design, develop, and release solutions for electrical packaging and wiring systems in our vehicles.
• Familiar with Catia V5 design tools, including electrical harness workbench, creating detailed harness routes, and developing feasible design solutions from the conceptual phase.
• Able to present design information for internal and external project reviews.
• Experience in vehicle fault analysis and electrical harness modifications.
• Knowledge of program launch engineering and manufacturing support, including installation guidance and rework by Manufacturing and Service departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, ideally in electrical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the motorsport industry.
• Organized mindset, flexible to adapt to last-minute issues.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Systems & Motorsport Looms.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Outlook) and Catia V5.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
