Job description

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a large multi-function nuclear site in Cumbria, active in nuclear waste processing, storage, and decommissioning, to recruit a Power Systems Design Engineer on a 12-month contract for its Warrington office.

The Power Systems Design Engineer role offers a day rate up to £700.

Key skills required for the Power Systems Design Engineer role

1. 5+ years in a similar power systems design position
2. Degree educated (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related subject
3. Knowledge of BS 60909 Fault Calculations and ETAP modelling software
4. Protection and control systems experience (11kV and 400V)
5. 11kV and 400V substation design experience
6. Minimum of grade C in English and Maths GCSE

Location, day rate, and timeframe of the role

• £700 per day
• Inside IR35
• Hybrid working between Warrington and home
