Job summary

Brightwork is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical maintenance function across a manufacturing site in Scotland, ensuring safe and compliant operation of electrical, control, and automation systems.

The role requires time-served electrical experience, appropriate qualifications, and the ability to manage contractors and a small internal team. You will coordinate RAMS, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive high workmanship standards across PLC/SCADA environments.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical maintenance experience.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3, HNC/HND preferred.
• Strong background in heavy industry electrical maintenance.
• Able to read electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RAMS for electrical tasks (LV/MV, live testing, confined space).
• Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations, PUWER, DSEAR, ATEX zoning.
• PLCs & SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Rockwell).
• Lead electricians and electrical apprentices.
• Allocate workload and supervise day-to-day tasks safely.
