Job summary

Brightwork Limited in Forfar is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through planned and reactive maintenance activities. You will diagnose faults on motors, drives, control panels and PLCs, carry out installations, and contribute to continuous improvement, with a focus on health and safety across the site.

The role requires time-served electrical qualification and experience in a manufacturing environment; 18th Edition

Qualifications

Time-served electrician or electrical engineer with SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
Experience with PLCs, automated machinery and CMMS advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery.
Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and industrial equipment.
Support machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and variable speed drives.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations and company procedures.
Accurately record maintenance activities and provide technical support to production teams.
Contribute to reliability improvements and downtime reduction initiatives.
