Example Recruitment in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support the Electrical Manager and oversee the day‑to‑day management, technical support and development of the electrical engineering team.

You will supervise engineers, conduct audits and safety inspections, and deliver updates during toolbox talks. The role requires NICEIC QS experience, strong leadership and a commitment to safety and quality, with a salary in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical engineering within a supervisory capacity.
• Strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong commitment to health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support electrical engineers, providing technical guidance, training and development.
• Carry out quality checks, health & safety audits and onsite inspections.
• Work as an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS) and support the wider QS team.
• Deliver technical updates and guidance during monthly toolbox talks.
• Ensure engineers are allocated work appropriate to their competencies.
• Support engineer training, inductions and ongoing professional development.
• Assist with technical issues, problematic jobs and customer complaints.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Work closely with SHEQ to ensure competency, compliance and safety standards are maintained.
• Support the Electrical Manager and provide cover when required.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, risk assessments and health & safety legislation are followed.
