SiteCharge is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the deployment of mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) on a national infrastructure project (Lower Thames Crossing). You will manage earthing points, testing, and permits, coordinating with Tier 1 contractors and civils teams to keep works on schedule.
You will deliver daily briefings, maintain safety records, and ensure compliance with electrical safe systems of work.
SiteCharge is a fast-growing energy solutions company with a clear ambition: to become the UK’s leading energy storage rental provider.
We specialise in delivering innovative temporary power and battery energy storage solutions that enable our customers to reduce emissions, improve efficiency and accelerate the transition to cleaner energy.
As a new business, we are building a high-performing team that shares our passion, ambition and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Every member of the team has the opportunity to shape the future of the business and play a significant role in our growth.
This role will be predominantly based on the national infrastructure project Lower Thames Crossing and will involve working closely with Tier 1 contractors and their civil engineering teams. You will support the safe delivery of charging zero-emissions plant and equipment using mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), while ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with our electrical safe systems of work.
We are seeking hardworking, driven professionals who are looking to develop their careers within a supportive environment. Together, we will ensure our client remains compliant, confident, and fully assured in the safety and quality of our operations.
This role will be integral to the management and deployment of mobile BESS charging solutions on the Lower Thames Crossing project, playing a key role in defining the future of construction.
A key part of this role is supporting onsite operations through the installation of earthing points and earth pits, along with all associated testing and inspection activities. You will help ensure smooth coordination across the project, particularly in relation to planned earthing installations and the safe charging of battery-operated plant and equipment via the various static and mobile BESS systems. The role also involves issuing permits, maintaining clear communication with the site team, working in line with the programme, and staying ahead of upcoming works along the agreed routes.
Accurate and timely completion of paperwork is essential to maintain safety compliance and meet contract requirements. This includes test sheets, issuing digital permits, and maintaining a clear and detailed work diary. As the project expands, it will also become increasingly important to deliver effective daily briefings to the workforce at the start of each shift. The role will require obtaining a Highways Passport, which we will support you with. In addition, the client requires all personnel to complete a fit-for-work medical as part of the onboarding process.
