Skilled Careers Ltd in Staines, Surrey, is recruiting an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts for social housing clients. Ensure compliance with 18th Edition, supervise operatives and subcontractors, and uphold health and safety and quality standards.

You will manage testing, certification, calibration of equipment, schedule resources, and provide technical guidance to crews and clients daily.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor / Electrical QS.
• Strong background in social housing, responsive repairs or planned maintenance.
• 18th Edition qualification and electrical testing knowledge.
• Experience supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of electrical works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts.
• Supervise and support a team of electrical operatives and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with 18th Edition regulations, electrical safety standards and health & safety legislation.
• Carry out regular site inspections and monitor the quality of completed works.
• Manage electrical testing, inspection and certification requirements.
• Coordinate job scheduling and allocation of resources.
• Provide technical electrical advice and support to operational teams and clients.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, inspection reports and certification.

The Role

An established property maintenance contractor is looking for an experienced

Electrical Qualified Supervisor

to join its team, overseeing electrical works across a busy social housing maintenance contract in

Staines, Surrey .You will be responsible for ensuring electrical compliance, supervising a team of operatives and subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality across planned and reactive maintenance works.The role requires someone with a

strong technical electrical background , excellent knowledge of electrical regulations and previous experience supervising electrical works within

social housing or property maintenance .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of electrical works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts
• Supervise and support a team of electrical operatives and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with 18th Edition regulations, electrical safety standards and health & safety legislation
• Carry out regular site inspections and monitor the quality of completed works
• Manage electrical testing, inspection and certification requirements
• Ensure electrical equipment and testing meters are calibrated and maintained
• Coordinate job scheduling and allocation of resources
• Provide technical electrical advice and support to operational teams and clients
• Maintain accurate compliance records, inspection reports and certification
• Monitor performance, productivity and contract delivery
• Support operatives through coaching, mentoring and training
• Attend client meetings, toolbox talks and operational reviews
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards
• Support emergency callouts and out-of-hours service delivery as required

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor / Electrical QS
• Strong background in social housing, responsive repairs or planned maintenance
• 18th Edition qualification - essential
• NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation - essential
• AM2 certification - essential
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification or equivalent - essential
• Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, testing and certification
• Experience supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage workloads and maintain high standards across multiple properties
• Full UK driving licence
