Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is recruiting an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor for Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance to cover Crawley. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary of £48,000–£52,000 plus a van and fuel card.

You will supervise electricians, carry out safety and compliance tasks, and liaise with NICEIC and clients on site. The ideal candidate will have NICEIC qualifications, 18th Edition, and experience in risk assessment, testing, and certificate issuing.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of electricians and training apprentices.
• Ability to carry out risk assessments for electrical works.
• Proficient in inspecting and testing electrical installations and producing certificates.
• Strong knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact between site teams, NICEIC, SHE and clients.
• Carry out risk assessments for electrical works and staff.
• Verify electricians' inspection and testing results promptly to prevent delays.
• Work as Qualifying Supervisor for the branch, completing required NICEIC assessments.

Electrical Qualifying Supervisor - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance

Covering Crawley

£48k - £52k + van and fuel card

Full-Time, Permanent

We are working with one of the nations leading Social Housing contractors, to recruit a team of Electrical Qualifying Supervisors to join them on a new contract, these positions will be covering the Crawley area.

Responsibilities

While working in accordance to the relevant Safety Regulations and procedures, you will have to carry out a variety of different duties including:

• Being the main point of contact between Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / Managers and where appropriate the client.
• Carry out Risk Assessments for Electrical works and staff
• Verifying all electricians' inspection & testing results whether electronically or on paper in a timely manner to prevent delays ensuring that due care and attention is maintained to prevent any potential electrical issues.
• Being registered as the Qualifying Supervisor for the branch and completing any assessments required by the NICEICSkills required for this job role consist of:

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
• Experience of supervising a team of Electricians including developing and training apprentices
• Knowledge of installations, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and the ability to complete appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
• Full Electrical qualifications including Test & Inspect, 18th Edition and NICEIC
