Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join a social housing repairs & maintenance contractor covering the Crawley area. You will lead electrical teams, ensure compliance, and serve as the main liaison with the Technical Compliance Team, NICEIC, SHE and the client.

You will carry out risk assessments, verify inspection & testing results, and ensure timely certification while maintaining safety standards and programme delivery. Experience with NICEIC Q.S.

Qualifications

• Proven supervision of electricians and apprenticeship training.
• Strong knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and 18th Edition.
• Experience or eligibility as NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Act as main liaison between Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / client.
• Carry out risk assessments for electrical works and staff.
• Verify electricians' inspection & testing results promptly.
• Register as the branch Qualifying Supervisor and complete assessments as required by NICEIC.

Electrical Qualifying Supervisor - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance

Covering Crawley

£48k - £52k + van and fuel card

Full-Time, Permanent

We are working with one of the nations leading Social Housing contractors, to recruit a team of Electrical Qualifying Supervisors to join them on a new contract, these positions will be covering the Crawley area.

While working in accordance to the relevant Safety Regulations and procedures, you will have to carry out a variety of different duties including:

• Being the main point of contact between Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / Managers and where appropriate the client.
• Carry out Risk Assessments for Electrical works and staff
• Verifying all electricians' inspection & testing results whether electronically or on paper in a timely manner to prevent delays ensuring that due care and attention is maintained to prevent any potential electrical issues.
• Being registered as the Qualifying Supervisor for the branch and completing any assessments required by the NICEIC

Skills required for this job role consist of:

• Experience with installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
• Experience of supervising a team of Electricians including developing and training apprentices
• Knowledge of installations, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and the ability to complete appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
• Full Electrical qualifications including Test & Inspect, 18th Edition and NICEIC
• Previous experience as an NICEIC approved Electrical QS
