Job summary

Prestige Talent Partners Ltd on behalf of our client in Northumberland seeks an Electrical Specialist to join a high-speed manufacturing site in Prudhoe. You will provide hands-on electrical support to maintain, improve and optimise production equipment, collaborating with the Operations team to drive reliability and performance.

You'll troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, lead continuous improvement projects, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and time-served Electrical Technician.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled systems, ideally Siemens.
• Methodical root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert electrical support to resolve equipment and machinery faults.
• Support and coach operational teams in electrical fault finding and problem-solving techniques.
• Participate in daily production and operational meetings to review machine performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct gap analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed in line with site health, safety, and quality standards.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity and reducing downtime.
• Support medium and long-term engineering initiatives across the manufacturing operation.

Our client is a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join their site in Prudhoe. This is an fantastic opportunity for a skilled electrical professional to play a key role in maintaining, improving, and optimising production equipment within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the reliability and performance of manufacturing machinery, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

The Role

As an Electrical Specialist, you will provide hands-on technical expertise to support production operations and help deliver site performance objectives. You will work collaboratively across departments to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term engineering solutions.
