Job summary

Guardian Jobs in Coulsdon is seeking an experienced Small Works Manager (Electrical) to oversee smaller project packages from enquiry through to handover. You’ll visit sites, assess needs, price works and ensure delivery on time and budget, often juggling several live jobs.

You will require a time-served electrical background with City & Guilds/NVQ3, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence; a strong package and overtime are offered for out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Must be a time-served electrician with City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3.
• Hold 18th Edition (C&G 2382) and ECS/JIB Gold Card.
• Have commercial electrical experience in offices or similar.
• Able to price work from a site visit and drawings.
• Some supervising/leadership of jobs, even on a smaller scale.
• Organised, able to juggle several jobs and interface with clients.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend site visits and surveys; assess needs and scope.
• Price and quote works up to around £50,000.
• Plan labour, materials and access; schedule works with clients.
• Manage multiple live jobs; coordinate engineers, subcontractors and deliveries.
• Protect margins by pricing variations and changes.
• Be the main point of contact from enquiry to handover.
