Job summary

Mint Selection is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems for utility-scale energy storage projects across the UK. Based in Exeter, this on-site role requires hands-on site leadership and strict adherence to design specifications, UK electrical standards and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
Experience delivering utility-scale electrical infrastructure projects, ideally within BESS, renewable energy, or power generation.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical installation works across utility-scale BESS projects.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, UK electrical standards and HSE requirements.
Support construction, testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
Coordinate with subcontractors, OEMs, DNOs/TOs, and project teams.
Review electrical drawings, technical documentation and inspection records.
Carry out site inspections, quality checks and resolve technical issues.
Assist with project reporting, handover documentation and transition to operations.
