Job summary
Alpro in Kettering is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join our Maintenance & Engineering team. You will maintain and improve world-class production equipment on a 24/7 operation, driving reliability, safety and continuous improvement across the site.
The role requires time-served experience, formal engineering qualifications, and strong PLC/electrical fault-finding skills. You will work in a fast-paced FMCG environment and utilise SAP for maintenance records.
Qualifications
- Time-served maintenance engineer with electrical bias.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Respond to breakdowns and restore production safely and quickly.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled equipment, drives, motors and sensors.
- Support continuous improvement projects and root-cause analysis.
