Job summary
Brightwork Ltd. in Belfast is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to maintain and repair automated production equipment. You will minimise downtime and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, PLC fault-finding, and working with motors, drives, sensors and control systems to keep packaging lines running to GMP and food safety standards.
Qualifications
- Time-served Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of motors, drives, pneumatics and industrial automation.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or manufacturing environments is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated machinery.
- Support PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain packaging, bottling and labelling equipment.
- Work with motors, drives, sensors, relays and control systems.
- Complete maintenance records using SAP/CMMS.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Ensure all work is completed to GMP, food safety and health & safety standards.
