Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to join the Scotland team, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh with hybrid, full-time arrangements. The role spans healthcare, education, data centres, critical infrastructure, commercial, residential and technology sectors.

You will deliver high-quality electrical designs from concept through to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering
• IEng/CEng or working towards professional registration preferred
• Consultancy project delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Producing electrical calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Designing LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency systems.
• Coordinating designs with other disciplines and consultants.
• Reviewing contractor information and carrying out site inspections.
• Attending client and design meetings.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Mentoring junior engineers.

A leading engineering consultancy is looking for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to join its growing Scotland team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, technically challenging projects across healthcare, education, data centres, critical infrastructure, commercial, residential and technology sectors.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs from concept through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.
Key responsibilities include:

• Producing electrical calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Designing LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency systems.
• Coordinating designs with other disciplines and consultants.
• Reviewing contractor information and carrying out site inspections.
• Attending client and design meetings.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Mentoring junior engineers.

Senior Engineers

Will also take ownership of larger projects, lead electrical disciplines, manage technical delivery and contribute to client and commercial relationships.

About You

You’ll have a degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering, strong technical knowledge and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux and OM Electrical.
IEng/CEng or working towards professional registration is preferred, along with experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment.
