Biffa Waste Services is seeking an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer to maintain electrical systems across the site, focusing on reliability and safety while reducing downtime. This is a 4 on/4 off shift (12 hours), with days and nights from 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am.

You will diagnose faults, perform planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, magnet belts and other plant, upgrade and modify equipment, and document all work in the CMMS. Overtime paid at 1.5x; salary is £48,048 per year.

Formación

• Experience with planned & reactive maintenance on conveyors and related equipment.
• Apprenticeship with electrical bias; ONC/BTEC NVQ3.
• BS7671 18th Edition qualifications.
• Experience with single and 3-phase AC/DC systems.
• Waste processing equipment knowledge preferred.
• IT literate; comfortable with business software.
• Experience in FMCG environment.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose faults and repair to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Carry out plant upgrades and modifications to standards.
• Record work in CMMS.
• Develop and implement maintenance program to minimise downtime.
• Anticipate failures and propose measures to reduce downtime.
• Ensure SHEQ standards and documentation are maintained.
• Support management to develop a capable contract team.
• Assist lifecycle planning and capital papers.
• Proactive fault finding and continuous improvement.
