Biffa Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure plant availability through preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and process improvements. The role emphasizes high engineering standards, compliance, and safety, with a rotating 4 on/4 off shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Desirable - Additional relevant qualifications.
• Titles considered: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide high operational availability and efficient breakdown repair service.
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Carry out minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment.
• Liaise with external contractors for repairs/maintenance.
• Keep up to date with health & safety and environmental legislation.
