Job summary

Mears Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical works on housing maintenance contracts in Staines. You will lead a small team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Salary £54,000 per year with a company van and fuel card. 42.5 hours per week (8am–5pm, Mon–Fri) under a full-time permanent contract.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Qualification
• NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation
• AM2 Certification
• Test and Inspection qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391)
• Extensive experience in electrical work within housing or maintenance environments

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts
• Ensure compliance with procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
• Supervise a team of operatives and manage subcontractors
• Monitor progress through site visits to ensure timely completion and high standards
• Manage MCM scheduling and resource allocation
• Ensure meters and equipment are calibrated and maintained
• Provide electrical support and technical advice to clients and internal teams
• Compile operational reports and contribute to audits
• Attend client meetings, toolbox talks and training
• Respond to emergency callouts and out-of-hours service delivery

Education

18th Edition Qualification

NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

AM2 Certification

Test and Inspection qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391)
