Job summary

The Labour Group is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for a long-term 18-month contract in the Slough area. You will oversee electrical building services on commercial, aviation and data centre projects, coordinating with design teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include leading site teams, managing programmes, procurement, RFIs and QA, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within an M&E contractor.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services installations.
• Experience leading substantial electrical packages and subcontractors.
• Experience in commercial fit-out, aviation or data centre projects advantageous.
• Ability to manage projects from planning through commissioning and handover.
• Strong coordination of electrical design and RFIs.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an established M&E contractor looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager for an 18-month contract commencing in January 2027 in the Slough area.

Our client delivers major building services projects across the commercial, aviation and data centre sectors, with a strong pipeline of technically demanding work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager seeking a long-term contract, offering £450-£500 per day Outside IR35 and the opportunity to work on high-profile projects.

The Role

As Electrical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of electrical building services packages, managing projects from planning and coordination through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

You will work closely with the client, design consultants, site teams and specialist subcontractors to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex electrical packages in demanding project environments.

• Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, materials and long-lead items

• Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, public health and other project packages

• Manage variations, change control and commercial matters alongside the QS team

• Ensure electrical installations comply with specifications, relevant standards and project requirements

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in M&E / Building Services contracting.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within an M&E contractor

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations

• Experience managing substantial electrical packages and specialist subcontractors

• Commercial fit-out, aviation or data centre project experience would be highly advantageous

• Experience managing projects from planning and coordination through to commissioning and handover
