Job summary

Skyward Select in Greater London seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical package on a major commercial new-build in pre-construction, from design development through installation and handover, coordinating with mechanical, construction teams and the client.

The role demands a strong electrical engineering background, proven delivery of complex high-spec environments, and solid procurement and programme management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
• Manage electrical design development, technical submissions and coordination.
• Develop procurement schedules, installation programmes and delivery plans.
• Manage specialist subcontractors, site teams and supply-chain partners.
• Coordinate electrical services with the mechanical and construction teams.
• Monitor programme, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
• Identify and manage design, procurement and installation risks.
• Work closely with the client, consultants and wider project team.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Produce clear reports covering programme, procurement, cost and risk.

A technically led Building Services business is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager for a major commercial new-build development in Greater London, currently in pre-construction phase.

The project involves the delivery of a high-specification workplace with complex electrical infrastructure, demanding sustainability targets and extensive smart-building technology.

You will take responsibility for the electrical package from design development and procurement through to installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

Services Include:

• HV and LV electrical distribution.
• Transformers, switchgear and main distribution equipment.
• Containment and secondary distribution.
• General and emergency lighting.
• Lighting controls.
• Small power.
• Fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Security and access control.
• ICT infrastructure.
• Metering and energy monitoring.
• BMS interfaces.
• Photovoltaic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within Building Services.

• Strong electrical engineering or installation background.
• Knowledge of Shell & Core and high-specification commercial environments.
• Experience managing electrical packages from design through to commissioning.
• Strong procurement, programme and commercial-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate complex services across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing abilities.
