Job summary

WeDo Business Services Ltd in Congleton is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Project Manager to lead delivery of electrical packages on commercial construction projects.

You will manage electrical installations across office, retail and mixed-use developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, by coordinating with main contractors, consultants and subcontractors and by leading testing, commissioning and handover processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of local electrical regulations and standards.
• Experience delivering office fit-outs, retail units, or large-scale commercial developments.
• Strong planning, cost control and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical works across commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure project feasibility and accuracy.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and labour forecasts.
• Oversee installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data/communications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and health & safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality and progress.
• Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor packages.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.
• Identify risks and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
• Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
