Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to own electrical delivery on first-of-a-kind power projects for data centres and large industrials in the UK.

You will manage the programme and development budget from concept through energisation, co-ordinate consultants, ICPs, and grid interfaces, and lead design reviews.

The role requires MV/HV system knowledge, a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical or power systems engineering; CEng welcome.
• 5+ years delivering energy or infrastructure projects with MV/HV experience.
• Experience with substations, grids, data centres, utilities; site and live assets.
• Experience managing programme and budget on development/pre-construction projects.
• UK GB/European grid connection knowledge and grid codes.

Responsibilities

• Own the programme and development budget from concept to energisation.
• Lead electrical concept through to sign-off and design reviews.
• Lead grid interface with DNO/TO/NESO, manage applications and milestones.
• Credible capex inputs across plant, substations, civils and enabling works.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and deliver unique, first-of-a-kind scopes.
