Job summary

AFECO is recruiting a Project Engineer to help deliver water-sector infrastructure from design through to commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, designers, contractors and client representatives to ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance across clean water and wastewater works.

Based in Havant with site mobilisations across the South of England, the role requires experience in water projects, strong engineering judgement and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in water sector projects (clean water, wastewater, pumping stations or treatment works).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning.
• Review drawings, P&IDs and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in risk assessments and RAMS documentation.
• Support commissioning activities, FAT/SAT and handover with complete O&M documentation.
