This role is based on site at Harwell project for Mace MEP. Accountable for the delivery of the system building services engineering (mechanical, electrical, ventilation, and specialist systems), liaising with the client, main contractor, and consultants. Capable of package managing multiple sub-contractors, sub-sub-contractors, and suppliers from a package system engineering role.

You'll be responsible for:

• Delivering within the project team, working with colleagues, collaborating, and coordinating effectively.
• Analyzing, rectifying, and managing the completion of the MEP design, using engineering expertise and management processes.
• Coordinating and liaising with project sub-contractors, sub-subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Managing interfaces between packages.
• Developing relationships with key project stakeholders such as the client, design, and construction teams.
• Identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Incorporating modern construction methods, digital technologies, and prefabrication.
• Implementing Mace's standards and project strategies.
• Working towards net zero carbon transition and managing associated emissions during project delivery.

You'll need to have:

• Proficient knowledge of an engineering specialism (e.g., mechanical), including installation techniques, engineering processes, prefabrication, and commissioning requirements.
• Basic knowledge of other specialisms (e.g., electrical) to ensure collaboration and coordination.
• Basic understanding of construction build elements, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Basic knowledge of commercial management, procurement, change control, and project costs.
• Proficient planning skills, understanding critical paths, scheduling, and commissioning activities.
• Proficiency in health, safety, and welfare standards and practices.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and system integration processes.
• Basic knowledge of digital engineering technologies or prefabrication methods.

You'll also have:

• Experience in the relevant construction sector.
• Professional registration with CIBSE or IET.
• Coaching skills and the ability to support others.
• Ability to perform basic design calculations.
