The UK engineering team is part of the Worldwide Engineering team, which comprises over 1000 engineers across various automated handling disciplines. We are seeking an Engineer with a passion for designing and developing project solutions, capable of adhering to challenging standards, and committed to adding value for our customers both domestically and internationally.

Role Responsibilities

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will support automation projects by creating electrical circuits and layouts for intralogistics equipment and systems.

The role requires a specialist/technical skill set. The successful candidate should be friendly, communicative, and capable of sharing knowledge effectively. Attention to standard operating procedures is essential. The ideal individual will be persistent, organized, structured, self-controlled, and kind. They should be consistent, analytical, sensitive, precise, logical, and systematic in their approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Reviewing user requirements, analyzing feasibility, and considering technical standards.
2. Collaborating with the Project Leader to plan engineering activities and deliverables.
3. Reporting progress and deviations in worked hours to the Project Leader.
4. Participating in decision-making regarding electrical components and interfaces with relevant disciplines.
5. Designing, specifying, and calculating complete electrical control installations, including cabinets, field wiring, cable trunking, and mechanical supports.
6. Creating power calculations, cable layouts, and selectivity determinations.
7. Designing control drawings and layouts, providing all necessary information for manufacturing, installation, and procurement teams.
8. Ensuring designs comply with known procedures, rules, and UK legislation such as machinery supply regulations.
9. Producing engineering instructions and guiding subcontractors on hardware principles through drawings and documentation.
10. Supporting subcontractors with problem analysis and engineering reviews.
