Job Summary:

My client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work within the Water Sector.

Key Skills Required: Water Sector Experience

Additional Details: Salary dependent on experience. The position is based in the London office and involves work across various sites in London. This role is suitable for an apprentice-trained EICA Engineer with Water Sector experience, but candidates from other process-related industries will also be considered.

The Electrical Project Engineer will play a key role in the project design team, involved in projects from Tender Stage, Full Design, Build & Operate projects, Plant Upgrades, Maintenance, Commissioning, to Project Handover within the water/wastewater industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out project electrical design from initial concept through detailed design, including Control Philosophies, Load Schedules, ESB applications, and Instrumentation equipment listings.
2. Review all documents internally and externally to ensure conformance with customer specifications, objectives, and third-party requirements.
3. Review Electrical Panel Layouts and Schematics to ensure all equipment is correctly incorporated according to design and client specifications.
4. Support the selection and procurement of instrumentation and Electrical Sub-Contractors, focusing on quality, reliability, performance, and cost.
5. Liaise with sub-contractors and site teams, supporting installation and commissioning activities as necessary.
6. Ensure testing is completed according to specifications and properly documented.
7. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
8. Maintain accurate records of design changes and requests.
9. Assist in the production and review of P&ID's, Building Services, and General Arrangement Drawings.

Skills and Experience:

• Time-served or degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in Water/Wastewater or similar sectors.
• High attention to detail with a safety and commercial mindset.
• Ability to read and review Electrical Schematics.
• Experience with Energy Reduction systems in Water/Wastewater is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Electrical Switchgear, Industrial Control and Automation, PLCs, SCADA, Telemetry, Motor Controllers, Motor Starters, VSD, Soft Start, DOL, and starter circuits.
• System Wiring, Relays, Circuit Breakers, and hard-wired logic controllers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
