Marshall Land Systems is seeking an Electrical Production Supervisor to lead multiple electrical production teams, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality output. You will coordinate labour, monitor schedules and drive continuous improvement across planning, engineering and quality functions.

The role focuses on leadership, asset reliability, and adherence to industry standards such as BS 7671 and IPC‑A‑620, with a strong emphasis on safety, performance metrics and lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
  • 2391-52 Inspection and Testing competence
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety qualification

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of Electrical Production teams
  • Provide direction and support to Team Leaders, ensuring effective allocation of labour, skills, and resources
  • Monitor production progress against schedules and take corrective action to maintain delivery commitments
  • Ensure production activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with business priorities
  • Resolve operational challenges and elevate significant risks or issues to the Electrical Production Manager
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture across all Electrical Production areas
  • Support the development and execution of production schedules in line with project and business requirements
  • Coordinate labour allocation to maximise productivity and resource utilisation
  • Monitor build progress and performance metrics to ensure project milestones and customer delivery dates are achieved
  • Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Project teams to minimise disruption to production activities
  • Identify and mitigate production risks that may impact cost, quality, or delivery performance
  • Drive adherence to production processes, standard work instructions, and manufacturing best practices
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Team Leaders and production personnel
  • Conduct performance reviews and regular one-to-one meetings in line with company procedures
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning activities within the department
  • Identify skills gaps and implement development plans to improve team capability and flexibility
  • Manage attendance, disciplinary matters, and employee relations issues in accordance with company policies
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and continuous learning
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex electrical build, installation, testing and fault-finding activities
  • Ensure teams can effectively interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Support the resolution of production and quality issues through structured problem‑solving techniques
  • Ensure compliance with Marshall Electrical Standardisation, engineering requirements and customer specifications
  • Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams to address design, manufacturability, and production concerns
  • Ensure all electrical manufacturing, installation and testing activities comply with BS 7671, IPC‑A‑620 requirements, customer standards and internal procedures
  • Drive a right‑first‑time culture and reduce rework through effective quality controls and process discipline
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and lead investigations into recurring issues
  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Encourage the identification and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency, safety and quality
  • Champion a strong safety culture throughout Electrical Production
  • Ensure compliance with Marshall Health and Safety Management Systems, policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and support risk assessments where required
  • Ensure personnel are appropriately trained, competent, and equipped to carry out their duties safely
  • Investigate accidents, near misses and safety concerns, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Promote and maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation through 5S principles
  • Monitor and ensure accurate job bookings, labour reporting and production data within the IFS ERP system
  • Prepare and communicate production performance updates, including delivery, quality and resource metrics
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly operational review meetings
  • Communicate business priorities, production objectives and key project information to production teams
  • Maintain accurate records to support traceability, quality assurance and compliance requirements
  • Ensure mandatory training, certifications and departmental records remain current
