Job summary

Marshall Land Systems is seeking an Electrical Production Manager in Merthyr Tydfil to lead the electrical fitting team and ensure safe, efficient production to quality standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to read electrical drawings. You will drive continuous improvement, align with SQCDP objectives, and support onboarding of new team members in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical fitting or installation in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading small teams or acting as a senior/lead technician.
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with fault finding, diagnostics, and resolving build issues.
• Experience in quality-controlled or regulated manufacturing environments.
• 18th Edition compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical installation activities across production areas or projects.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 and internal quality standards.
• Support integration of electrical systems into mechanical assemblies and complex products.
• Provide hands-on support for complex wiring tasks when needed.
• Monitor daily build plans and align work with production schedules.
• Escalate electrical build issues, assist with fault finding and resolution.
• Provide day-to-day direction, mentoring, and technical support to Electrical Fitters.
• Allocate tasks and balance workloads to meet production priorities.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Promote high standards of workmanship, safety, and accountability.
• Champion a strong safety culture and safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, risk assessments and PPE.
