Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Process Technician - Electrician in Kent Region to maintain and repair wastewater facilities across multiple sites. Willingness to travel and hold a full UK driving licence are required, with a 38-hour week and a salary of £38,247.41–£45,896.13 per year.

The role involves reactive and planned maintenance, installation of new equipment, responding to alarms, testing electrical systems, and providing technical support to contractors. Security checks and DBS may apply.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Install new plant and equipment as required.
• Respond to alarms and fault-find issues, fixing or escalating as needed.
• Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures.
• Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
• Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
• Participate in standby cover
