Job summary

Freedom is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) in Scotland with a hybrid work arrangement. The role leads a team of design engineers, steering constructability reviews and the design-to-construction handover for large-scale projects.

You will drive tender-phase activities, provide cost estimates, assist with scheduling and risk management, and support multi-project delivery across the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams of construction managers, supervisors, and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S, and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Tender Phase: Evaluate client and project requirements from tender documentation.
• Tender Phase: Assist sales and business development teams with risk and opportunity assessments.
• Tender Phase: Provide cost estimations and contribute to initial project scheduling.
• Tender Phase: Address design-related queries during the tender process.
