Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking a Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive the constructability reviews across design, build and construction phases. The role emphasizes strong leadership, safety compliance, and proactive management of tender through to construction handover.

The ideal candidate has extensive preconstruction and site experience, chartership or progress towards it, and will manage multiple projects with occasional travel across offices

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Proven ability to lead teams of construction managers, supervisors, and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S, and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent qualification).
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Tender phase: evaluate client and project requirements from tender docs, assist with risk and opportunity assessments, provide cost estimates and contribute to initial project scheduling, address design queries during tender process.
• Post-contract award: lead constructability reviews, provide construction-level input into schedule and quality plan, help manage risk register and health & safety file, support design-to-construction transition.
• Construction phase: provide site support, troubleshoot construction issues, offer technical guidance to ensure design feasibility, conduct lessons learned reviews for future projects.
