Job summary

Freedom is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) in Scotland to lead a team of design engineers from preconstruction through construction. You will drive constructability reviews and provide constructability input into schedules and quality plans.

The role requires strong leadership, site/construction experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects with travel between offices and sites. Hybrid working and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Proven ability to lead teams of construction managers, supervisors and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client and project requirements from tender documentation.
• Assist sales and business development with risk and opportunity assessments.
• Provide cost estimations and contribute to initial project scheduling.
• Address design-related queries during tender process.
• Lead constructability reviews and input into project schedule and quality plan.
• Assist in managing project risk register and health & safety file.
• Provide site support and technical guidance during construction.
