Freedom, part of the NG Bailey Group, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) to lead a design engineering team through tendering, design for constructability, and handover to construction across large-scale projects in the UK.

The role blends technical leadership, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, with opportunities for travel between offices and sites and a competitive package including a car allowance and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Chartered or working towards chartership in engineering preferred.
• Leadership of teams of construction managers, supervisors and site engineers preferred.
• Knowledge of OH&S and SHEQ procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews and provide design-to-construction input.
• Manage tender phase activities including cost estimations and scheduling.
• Guide post-contract award activities and risk management.
• Provide site support and engineering guidance during construction.
