Job summary

Freedom, part of the NG Bailey Group, is recruiting an Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead design engineers across large-scale projects in Scotland. You will oversee the preconstruction-to-construction handover, drive constructability reviews, and provide construction-level input to schedules and quality plans.

Occasional travel to offices and sites is expected. The role requires a robust electrical or civil engineering background, chartership progress, and a proactive leadership style to

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Ability to lead and manage teams of construction managers, supervisors, and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S, and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Lead design & build projects across tender, post-contract, and construction phases.
• Perform constructability reviews and input into project schedules and quality plans.
• Support transition from design to construction and provide site guidance.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with design engineers and stakeholders.
