Job summary

SER Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer (Electrical) to support grid-connected energy infrastructure projects across the UK in a hybrid mode. The role sits between engineering, commercial and operations to translate client requirements into buildable scopes of work.

You will own the electrical pre-construction process, identify risks, close scope gaps and ensure tender submissions are technically sound and commercially viable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in power, renewables, BESS, HV infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems and electrical scopes.
• Experience with tender submissions and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Tender Engineering: review requirements, specs and grid docs to define scope.
• Subcontract development: define testing, QA requirements and cost implications.
• Project handover: lead technical handover to delivery teams post-award.
