Job summary

Freedom is recruiting a Preconstruction Manager (Electrical) in Scotland to guide multi-disciplinary teams from design to construction, ensuring seamless handover of engineering solutions. The role involves tender, post-contract, and construction phases with occasional travel to offices and sites.

You will lead constructability reviews, drive design feasibility for construction, and collaborate with sales, design teams, and field personnel to optimise project delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in preconstruction and construction management.
• Proven ability to lead teams of construction managers, supervisors, and site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, OH&S, and SHEQ.
• HND in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH).

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews, ensuring designs are practical for construction.
• Provide input to project schedule and quality plan.
• Assist in managing project risk and health & safety files.
• Oversee transition from design to construction.
• Provide site support and technical guidance during construction.
