Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an Electrical Planner for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater, to develop and maintain detailed electrical schedules and four-week lookahead plans.

You will align progress with the 16-week lookahead and control baselines, ensuring safe, evidence-based updates on installation quantities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a planning role on large MEP projects, preferably regulated environments, ideally nuclear sites.
• Relevant MEP engineering qualifications, HNC/HND in an electrical field preferred.
• Dedicated site experience working in a planning role.
• Extensive Primavera/Asta Powerproject knowledge.
• Ability to ascertain BPSS clearance to attend site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical construction schedules.
• Prepare and update electrical four-week lookahead plans.
• Align schedules with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones.
• Establish activity-level progress and quantity measurement requirements.
• Integrate engineering, materials, access, resources, quality and commissioning requirements.
• Confirm activities entering the four-week window are sufficiently mature and ready for construction.
• Demonstrate appropriate health and safety leadership to ensure the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities.
• Work closely with project personnel and external customers to produce/agree a contract baseline programme.
• Provide accurate, evidence-based schedule progress updates and maintain installation and remaining quantity trackers; produce planned versus actual reports.

As we progress on the project and increase in delivery we are looking to appoint an Electrical Planners who will measures progress and track installed quantities against planned outputs, ensuring schedule updates are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones., Key deliverables in this role are:

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical construction schedules.
• Prepare and update electrical four-week lookahead plans.
• Align schedules with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones.
• Establish activity-level progress and quantity measurement requirements.

Where you'll be working from

This will be a permanent staff position with NG Bailey and the applicants will need to predominantly work from the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. We do offer generous uplifts and allowances for working away from home.

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project: We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
