NG Bailey is recruiting an Electrical Planner for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You will develop and maintain detailed electrical construction schedules, update four‑week lookahead plans, and ensure progress data is accurate and aligned with programme milestones.

This permanent, site‑based role requires experience on large MEP projects (nuclear preferred), HNC/HND in electrical, and knowledge of Primavera/Asta Powerproject.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning large MEP projects, preferably nuclear environments.
• HNC/HND in electrical field (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Primavera and Asta Powerproject required; BPSS clearance desirable.

NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK's leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project.

As we progress on the project and increase in delivery we are looking to appoint an Electrical Planners who will measures progress and track installed quantities against planned outputs, ensuring schedule updates are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones.

This will be a permanent staff position with NG Bailey and the applicants will need to predominantly work from the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. We do offer generous uplifts and allowances for working away from home.

Responsibilities

Key deliverables in this role are:

• Develop andmaintaindetailed electrical construction schedules.
• Prepare and update electrical four-week lookahead plans.
• Align schedules with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones.
• Establish activity-level progress and quantity measurement requirements.
• Integrate engineering, materials, access, resources,qualityand commissioning requirements.
• Confirm activities entering the four-week window are sufficiently mature and ready for construction
• Demonstrate appropriate health and safety leadership to ensure the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities.
• Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/ agree a contract baseline programme for the project.
• Provide accurate, evidence-based schedule progress updates and maintain installation and remaining quantity trackers. Produce planned versus actual quantity and productivity reports for review discipline and project leads.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in a planning role on large MEP projects, preferably regulated environments, ideally nuclear sites.
• Relevant MEP engineering qualifications, HNC/HND in an electrical field preferred.
• Dedicated site experience working in a planning role
• Extensive Primavera/Asta Powerproject knowledge
• Ability to ascertain BPSS clearance to attend site

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project:

We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
