Electrical Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is actively working with a world-leading specialist manufacturer in Pontypool, experiencing exponential growth and planning large investments for 2025. They are seeking an Electrically Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Role Overview

As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on a 3-shift pattern (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights) in a busy manufacturing/production environment, managing machinery breakdowns and upgrades.
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment according to schedules and specifications to ensure reliability and minimize breakdowns.
  • Testing equipment, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Completing machine installation and commissioning.
  • Fault finding on PLC systems, including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley.
  • Maintaining tools and repair equipment.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities on site.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or HNC equivalent.
  • Time-served, apprentice-trained multiskilled engineer.
Benefits

If successful, you will receive a competitive salary up to £42,000, with benefits and the opportunity to increase your salary to £44,000 through competency-based training. The company offers career development opportunities and further educational support.
